I finished up the last week of my non-professional and 22nd year of life with a pretty good bang.
Boston was pretty fun, seeing my sister at Uconn was great, Seeing the elephant 6 collective at SUNY Purchase was pretty fucking sick (and meeting Bill Doss), and hiking the thunderbolt trail at Mt. Greylock was pretty great (despite the fact I fucked up my leg).
So, Happy birthday to me, I hope my professional life goes well.

So, after the extraction of my wisdom teeth, all four, I have finally been able to recover nicely and go on a nice trip with Amy to the Poconos to go whitewater rafting and participate in a 25-mile bike ride. (apologies to the run-on sentence). Man do I dig her...(ha!)
Anyway, I have finally realized that it is time for me to get a job after getting my goddamn masters. So it is off to work for me, having submitted application for the past two weeks, I have received three callbacks.
One is from TRUMPF, and this will be my second interview. The other, Otis Elevator, a UTC company, and the third is Sikorsky. I am really happy with the fact that it didn't take me too long to get any interviews. Lately I've been thinking about my final career choice. I really want a job so that I could bring home some bacon so that I could pay off this large loan and hopefully get a house so I coudl move out of this one. Arg, why is it not happening yet? I've sacrificed pretty much my past five years so that I could be in this position, and you know what? I want compensation, some loot, some cumupins.

Tonight one of my best friends left for the military. It made me so depressed I can't even stand it.
Perhaps it is someone else leaving this place that seems so final.
Perhaps it is because I feel like we could have hung out more recently.

Well as of this Tuesday, I am officially graduated with a Masters in Computer and Systems Engineering with a 3.63 GPA. YES!
Also, I just got back from a Bahamas Cruise yesterday. It was so beautiful, almost like paradise. Except the fact that it rained most of the time from a hurricane and I got both sunburned and stung by a tropical jellyfish.
I feel bad that my sister is having such a bad month. First, her car gets broken into. Then, her car's fuel pump breaks. Then, her favorite band (DMB) has someone die in it which made her cry for a couple of days. Then, the airline looses her luggage a day before she needs to leave for school. Then, she gets really sick with a fever.
I think I am no longer Charlie Brown and have officially passed the torch.

Dear George, I always understood your humor and praised your anti-government and pro-living socialist rhetoric.
I will always remember the time I went to see you, and you told jokes about having sex with three year olds, yet somehow made it funny.
"Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice . . . you don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying . . . lobbying, to get what they want . . . Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want . . . they don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that . . . that doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fuckin' years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers . . . Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your fuckin' retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it . . . they’ll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this fuckin' place. It’s a big club and you ain't in it. You and I are not in The big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people . . . white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means . . . continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you . . . they don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t care about you at all . . . at all . . . at all, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth. It’s called the American Dream cause you have to be asleep to believe it . . .” -G.C.
